Privacy policy
This explains what we collect when you use Software Delivered, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to be read rather than to be thorough, so if something you care about is not covered, ask and we will answer plainly.
Who we are
Software Delivered is a trading name of Voittaa Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales at Bridge View Park, Henry Boot Way, Hull, HU4 7DW.
We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect, and why
When you use the contact form or the get a price wizard, we collect your name, email address, and whatever you tell us about the work. We use it to reply to you and to price the job. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
When you complete the free project healthcheck, the answers are stored without any personal data attached. If you then ask for the written report, we store your name, email address and company alongside those answers so we can send it and follow up. The lawful basis is your consent, and asking for the report is that consent.
If you have an account on the platform, we hold the details you gave us, the tickets you raise, your token balance and your payment history, because we cannot run the service without them. The lawful basis is performance of a contract.
We record which pages are read and what people search for on the blog. This is counted, not tracked to a person.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. It does not run until you accept it, and declining costs you nothing: the site works identically either way.
We also set a session cookie and a security token when you log in. Those are necessary for the site to work and cannot be turned off.
You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.
Data from Google accounts
Where you connect a Google account to Software Delivered, our use of information received from Google APIs follows Google's API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We use that access only to publish content you have asked us to publish and to read back whether it succeeded. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not allow humans to read it except where you have asked us to fix something or the law requires it, and we do not use it to train any model.
You can revoke that access at any time in your Google account, and doing so stops our access immediately.
Who else sees it
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to them and never reach us; we see only the amount, the outcome and the country for VAT.
We use a small number of suppliers to run the service: hosting and a content delivery network for images, an email relay to send you mail, and project and code hosting we run ourselves in the United Kingdom.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anybody else to market to you.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are kept for two years, because people often come back.
Records relating to work we did and money that changed hands are kept for seven years, because tax law requires it.
Anonymous healthcheck answers are kept indefinitely, because they carry nothing that identifies anybody and the aggregate is genuinely useful.
What you can ask for
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose, or ask for it in a portable format. Email us and we will do it within a month, usually a lot sooner.
If you think we have got it wrong, tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk.
