With tens of thousands on their mailing list, TMC had to schedule emails to go out over many hours for fear of crashing their old site, which would crash at the very thought of high demand, supporting only 40 users on a good day. Now they send out emails and get many thousands of concurrent users, and the site runs without a hitch.

Magento, while good for general purposes, is not geared up for high-demand, high-growth e-commerce businesses. TMC had outgrown their system, which was breaking at the seams, constantly down, constantly being patched and coaxed to keep working.
TMC have a large following and customer base, but they could not communicate with them as sending newsletters caused peaks in traffic that crashed the site.
This prevented the growth that they knew they could deliver if they had a stable platform that was fit for purpose.
They were also looking to automate and digitise as much of their business as possible around their e-commerce platform.
We built a bespoke e-commerce platform, integrated with Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna, and linked the back end of the system to Sage Bright Pearl to allow the syncing of orders, invoices, products, prices and stock. The resulting platform allows TMC to control data in one place and have it pushed out to multiple channels.
The site uses multiple APIs to sync data and is integrated with Google Analytics Business Suite, Google Shopping and DotDigital, providing full visibility of their site and campaign performance.
The site now does exactly what TMC want it to do, they no longer have to bend their business to fit 'off-the-shelf' platforms. If they need a change, feature or additional integration, they just ask, and we deliver.
With the specialised load-balanced service infrastructure that is fully monitored by our team, the site can now support even the busiest of days with thousands of customers browsing and buying all at the same time.
We have a long-term contract with TMC for ongoing development, maintenance and continual improvement, where they call down engineering capacity as they need.
